WHAT ARE SNUGNITURE‘S GARDEN BEDS METAL RAISED BEDS MADE FROM?
Extreme Corrosion Resistance: Compared to wooden or plastic beds, It is 7x more resistant to corrosion and rust. The corrosion rate (the thickness of the Aluzinc coating lost every year in normal environments) is a maximum of 20% of one micron (0.2 μm). Theoretically, the useful life of Snugniture garden bed in normal environments is more than 100 years. In real life, Aluzinc has lasted more than 20 years in severe marine environments, though in the first year the coating loses up to 0.4 μm.
Research shows that soil in galvanized steel stays at an optimal and more even temperature when compared with wooden, concrete and dark plastic beds, which soak up summer sun during the day and stay hot into the night. Research also shows that galvanized steel beds have extra benefits of improved fruit set rate, blush color and maturity.

IS IT SAFE TO GROW FRUIT IN SNUGNITURE RAISED BEDS?
Yes, absolutely. Snugniture Raised Beds are made from galvanized steel with an Aluzinc coating, which lasts for decades in extreme conditions. All materials used are 100% recyclable and manufactured by a “green process.” It requires very high acidity to break down Aluzinc coating, and most garden soils are neutral, so there is little to no impact. Additionally, the metal materials are naturally found in soil, enhancing soil health.

Purchased the 6x4x2 bed. Took 32 cft of bagged soil to fill but leaves enough room at the top for mulch otherwise would probably use 4 more cft of soil. Not as sturdy as some other metal raised beds I have purchased but since this one is set up in a mulched bed i don’t have to worry about hitting it with the mower and denting or scratching it up. Took two people to put together about 20 minutes. You could do it by yourself but was quicker with one person feeding the bolt thru and another person putting the wing nut on the other side. It has the protective film that others have mentioned but i just left it on and figured the elements will take care of it. Overall I am pleased with it
Easy to put together. The 8x4x2 size required 54 bags of soil to fill it. Put 28 bags of soil in smaller 6x3x2 size. Used the beds in my front yard for flowering plants and a Japanese Maple tree. I really like the wood look.

Other than sharp edges to watch for (they even provide gloves to protect your hands!), I found nothing to dislike about this product. We've already purchased 2, with plans to buy at least 2 more. I was able to put each one together by myself in about 15-20 minutes. The instructions were fairly clear, but it's pretty straight forward anyway. They are easy to move around and into position, something I managed easily by myself. The hardest work ended up being filling those puppies with raised bed soil.
